Hark the herald angels sing ”Glory to the newborn King!”
In just over three weeks we will be hosting our annual Christmas Fair. Mark Saturday, November 26th on your calendars for a morning of traditional Christmas fun for the whole family. This year will feature a traditional pancake breakfast, kids games, Christmas crafts and wreaths, plant sale, bottle booth, bake sale, cake walk, toy and book sale, toonie table, an amazing silent auction and of course, a visit from Santa Claus. Festivities will commence at 8:30 in the parish gymnasium and will close at noon.
The Christmas Fair is the school’s biggest fundraiser of the year but it is also a wonderful way to get to know the parents, staff and children in our school as we work together on this event in support of our school.
As always, we are asking families to bring in items for our different booths. We rely on everyone pitching in to make the event successful and we created a new plan to make it easier for the parents and more fun for the kids!!
Next week, November 7th – 10th, will be All Stars Donation Week! We will have volunteers before school (8:00 – 8:45) and after school (2:45 – 3:30) to collect donation items.
We have created a Passport to the Stars for each student. For each item they bring in, their passport will be stamped and if they bring in all items, they will receive a prize. In addition, the class with the highest percent of participation will receive a class prize. The passports will go home with the students on Monday, November 7th. The following is a description of the items that we need for the fair.
- TOONIE TABLE: NEW or LIKE NEW items that would be a “gift” your child can purchase for someone special to them.
- BOTTLE BOOTH: Two bottles of pop, juice, etc. suitable for children. Please be sure and check for expiration dates!
- TOYS: NEW or LIKE NEW children’s toys. We cannot accept any Stuffies due to health regulations.
- BOOKS: NEW or LIKE NEW children’s books.
- WINE RAFFLE: A bottle of wine that you would drink yourself. Wine can only be brought to school by an adult.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us or your class parent.
Thank you for all of your hard work and support!
Felicity and Frances
