Fair Highlights

Pancake Breakfast with Santa
Come enjoy a delicious, homemade pancake breakfast with Santa! Breakfast is served from 8:30am to 12:30pm but come early for best selection! Rudolf has told us that Santa will join us for breakfast about 9am until 10:30am, when he will move to the tree-lined stage for Selfies with Santa.

Selfies with Santa
This year we’re bringing Santa up to the current times and taking selfies, so you can take your photos with your own camera, get the exact shot you want and then take them with you! For just a toonie, you can have your Santa photo keepsake without the wait! Or, if you prefer, for $5, one of Santa’s photographers will take up to 3 images with their camera and email them to you after the Fair.

Baking Booth & Cake Walk
Every year we receive a mountain of scrumptious baking from our school families and parishioners to sell at our Baking Booth. For a chance to win delicious baked treats, try your luck at the Cake Walk, located in the Games Room. If you would like to contribute, please bring your homebaking or purchased baked goods to the school on Friday, December 1st. Please include a list of ingredients, particularly if it includes nuts.

Games Room for Kids
Always packed to the brim, our high energy Games Room offers a wide variety of games and activities for our students, alumni and young parishioners. Sweet, crunchy or juicy snacks are available for sale too. Kids have fun while mom and dad shop and spend time with fellow parents and parishioners.

Handmade Quilts
Did you know that a group of local quilters meets regularly at the Parish, creating fabric masterpieces? The group offers their beautiful creations for sale at the Christmas Fair and Parish May Fair, and donates 50% of their sales back to the Parish. They have also donated one of their quilts to our silent auction.

Craftmaking for Kids
Always popular for kids of all ages, we offer several ‘make your own craft’ activities. It’s fun and you can take them home to add to your Christmas décor!

Silent Auction
The Silent Auction is always a hit! Here are a few highlights from this year’s line-up:

  • Have you ever wanted to go sailing? We have a fantastic opportunity for you – a skipper is provided for a 2 night / 3 day Gulf Island trip on a boat that sleeps 6!
  • More comfortable on dry land? How about a 5-night getaway to a waterfront cabin on Savary Island? Fantastic beaches, warm waters and a 2-bedroom cabin that sleeps 6.
  • Looking at your backyard and dreading the fall cleanup? We have the solution! Five hours of garden maintenance by Trillium Landscaping.

Do you have your bid strategy mapped out yet?  Browse the silent auction catalogue and make your shopping list. Note that we will not have printed copies at the Fair – the catalogue is online only.

Christmas Marketplace (new!)
New this year, the Christmas Marketplace will offer gift items of all kinds from a great selection of vendors. Our Grade 6 and 7 students will be young entrepreneurs selling pre-wrapped Purdy’s chocolates – great for hostess gifts and stocking stuffers! We also have a number of small businesses selling their wares including: leggings, scarves, costume jewelry, gift baskets and natural cleaning products.

If you, or someone you know, has a home-based business and would be interested in reserving a table at our Christmas Fair, please contact Kim Jacob, at office@icschoolvancouver.com.
