Mandatory Traffic and Safety Supervision Requirement
All ICS Parents are required to complete traffic or schoolyard supervision shifts during the school year. Every family is responsible for six shifts over the year (amounting to 4.5 hours of volunteer time).
This task requires parents to assist with monitoring our schoolyard before and after school, acting as crossing guards at West 27th and Highbury, and West 28th and Alma, and directing traffic at the gate on West 27th during drop-off and pick-up times. In addition, parents are required to watch the traffic safety video and will receive 0.5 hours participation credit for watching.
Please watch the traffic safety video below, and if you have any questions regarding traffic and schoolyard supervision, you can reach the ICS Traffic and Safety supervisor by identifying their name in OnVolunteers and sending them a message through the OnVolunteers website.
